Lebanon Just Met Binance To Discuss Opportunities In Crypto Space

Lebanon’s Minister of Economy, Amer Bisat, met with senior officials from Binance to discuss the growing crypto space and what it could mean for Lebanon. In a post shared after the meeting, Bisat said crypto trading among Lebanese is “significant and growing.” He noted that this trend could open the door to deeper financial markets, wider investment options, and more modern payment systems. At the same time, he stressed that the sector also brings financial, legal, and cross-border risks that need to be properly managed. “We discussed the regulatory path forward, including work already underway through the inter-ministerial committee,” Bisat said. The meeting comes as digital assets continue to gain traction in Lebanon, with more residents turning to crypto for trading, transfers, and alternative financial access.
