Beirut-based startup HAQQ Legal AI has raised $3 million to grow its AI-powered legal platform and expand beyond the local market. The capital will be used to accelerate the development of HAQQ’s AI operating system for legal work and scale its rollout across the Middle East and North Africa. Founded by Antoine Kanaan and Abbas Kabalan, HAQQ’s platform combines AI legal intelligence with practice management tools. The system can automate drafting, research, and other tasks usually done by lawyers, while also serving law firms, corporate legal teams, courts, and public institutions. HAQQ already serves thousands of clients and plans to use the new funds to deepen its technology and expand enterprise deployments regionally and globally. The funding round was led by Sowlutions Ventures, with participation from HITEK Ventures, Corona Legal, IM FNDNG, Highworth, Razor Capital, SYMAX, Hamady Trust, and others.
